From the Dominican monastery of the Holy Cross in Arbanija going on a 1.5 km long climb along the asphalted road to Žedno through the pine forest. Arriving on the top we turn to the village center, where on the left side there is the church of Blessed Ivan from Trogir and signs for the church of St. Mauro.
If you want to get a closer look to the curch, follow the forest path through the macchia and olive groves. Considering that this is a hiking trail, it can be done by bike, but with more caution and technical skills. From the center of Žedno continue 500 meters along the paved road to a resting place with a beautiful view of the western part of the island and archipelago of the channel of Drvenik.
At the resting place, turn left onto the gravel road and follow it to the viewpoint Rudine. Shortly on the asphalt road, turn right and continue along the gravel road along the ridge of the island, enjoying the lovely views from both sides of Ciovo.
Absorbing the smells of the vegetation of the island and listening to harmonious sounds of the crickets you will reach the cross where the gravel road comes into the paved one that leads you to the center of Slatine.
Next to a small heliport on the paved road we will descend next to olive groves and gardens to Slatine. In the center turn left and continue towards Arbanija thinking about a rest on one of the hidden beaches long the cost, the perfect place for swimming for families with small children and for those who love peace and quiet.
