Description

Savour the flavors of Dalmatian food on a 3-hour tour of Trogir’ s traditional eateries. In the company of a culinary guide, get tips on wine, food, and more. Get to know the historical centre, home to some of Trogir ‘s most famous restaurants.

What is “bokun”? In the Dalmatian language, it means “little piece”, from the Italian word boccone. Why “bokun”? In this culinary walking tour, you will enjoy “bokuns” of the Dalmatian cuisine in Trogir ’s traditional places. The guide will give you lots of insider tips for wine, food, sweets and good company. Just bring your appetite!

Starting in front of our office, we will walk around Trogir centre, passing in front of Kamerlengo fortress and St. Mark’s tower, towards Fortin park to our first culinary stop of our tour, the restaurant Pašike. At this family-owned heritage hotel & restaurant, we will taste our first “bokun” of this culinary walking tour, accompanied by the first glass of Croatian wine.

Moving forward the North town gate, and entering the city through its main street, the Gradska Ulica (lit. Town street), we will visit the main square, getting to the St. Nicolas monastery, to get lost in the hidden streets of the centre towards our second culinary stop, the restaurant Tragos. There we will try our second “bokun” accompanied by a glass traditional wine.

Again, getting lost in the Trogir’ s paths, we will get to house Stipčić and the gift shop Baba. Mrs Zdenka, the owner of the house, since decades is baking the traditional Trogir’ s sweet, Trogir Rafiol. Her daughter Marijana will offer you, in her shop of handcrafts, this typical Trogir’ s sweet accompanied by a “bičerin” (small glass) of Dalmatian brandy.

Our last “bokun” will be in the Delicium Nostrum, an authentic Croatian souvenirs shop. There you will taste the typical Dalmatian dessert wine, the so called Prošek.

Then we will move to the waterfront and gently get back to our office.
